When can I do Work Experience? - 20/3/2020 PLEASE NOTE: Work experience has been postponed for now
POSTPONED for the safety of our students. Work Experience participation will be reviewed in the future.
Students can apply to do work experience at any time between Year 10 and Year 12.
In some circumstances Year 9 are also welcome to apply. Students must be 14 years +
It is encouraged that students check with their teachers prior to applying to ensure they are not missing important course work, assessment tasks, or tests.
The amount of time you can spend on work experience placement varies depending on the students needs and interests.
Some options are a 3-5 day block, or one / two days per week over a few weeks or a whole term.
Year 10 - A great time to do work experience is in the last 4 weeks of Term 4. All Year 10 assessments are complete and Year 11 work has not started yet.
See Mrs Hine in the Careers office a few weeks prior to when you want to go on work experience as there are considerations that need to be discussed and paperwork to complete to ensure that students are covered by Department of Education insurance.
